Comprehensive Home Energy Audits- The basis of the whole house approach to energy savings, the home performance assessment is a 2 to 3 hour visit to your home in which one of New Buffalo Impact's BPI-certified energy analysts will examine your home's air leakage rate, insulation situation, combustion appliance draft rates, efficiency of your heating system, and visually inspect your windows and doors. We perform blower door testing and infrared scanning to determine the location of heat losses. We provide you with a 10-page Energy Star assessment report that contains our recommended actions as well as calculations of the real dollar savings that that you'll experience by taking each action.
Financial Assistance - The professionals at NBI will assist you to access all the monetary incentives available in New York State for energy improvement work. Our help can be the difference between whether a home performance assessment report actually leads to a safer, more efficient home for you, or becomes just another file of papers on your family bookshelf.
Insulation - When NBI insulates your home, you can be sure that the job is being done by professionals with years of experience in proper insulation blowing techniques. We use environmentally-friendly cellulose insulation, blown in using high density blowing techniques to avoid the insulation settling that plagues so many home owners.
Air Sealing - It's sure not putting some plastic on the windows. Blower door-assisted air sealing is diagnostic work designed to reduce the air leakage rate of your home, making the house tighter, more efficient and more comfortable.
