NBI offers cash referral program
TONAWANDA, NY – New Buffalo Impact, Inc., (NBI), a Tonawanda, NY based home energy performance contractor, is offering a cash referral incentive to former customers in conjunction with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program.
NBI vice president Brian Paterson explained, “ The “Customer Referral Incentive” is available to NBI customers who refer friends and family who then have a free or reduced cost home energy assessment, and also complete at least $3,000 of energy efficiency work between now and December 31, 2011. Our customers will get $100 dollars for every friend or family member who qualifies.”
Paterson added that once the work is done, the referred family member, or friend, having the work done will also receive the same cash incentive.

New Buffalo Impact also offers the free, or reduced cost home assessments in conjunction with NYSERDA’s Green Jobs/Green NY Program.
NYSERDA is a public benefit corporation created in 1975. NYSERDA’s aim is to help New York meet its energy goals of reducing energy consumption, promoting the use of renewable energy sources, and protecting the environment.
The Green Jobs/Green NY Free or Reduced Cost Energy Audit program was created by the New York State Legislature. It was launched Nov. 15, 2010. The program provides homeowners with the free or low cost audits and low interest loans to finance the needed energy improvements.
Paterson added, “The program provides income eligible owners of one to four unit residential buildings the opportunity to receive a free or reduced cost residential energy audit.”
Paterson pointed out that to qualify for a Green Jobs-Green NY free or reduced cost residential energy audit an applicant must download, and fill out, an application from the www.getenergysmart.org website, and submit it with the required supporting documentation.
Paterson added, “New Buffalo Impact is a Participating Home Performance with ENERGY STAR contractor. Besides doing all the required work, we can answer questions concerning this free comprehensive audit program. We can also help homeowners fill out the application form, and properly submit it.”
Paterson concluded, “Once someone has submitted the form and received a reservation number, they can call us at (716) 881-1477 to schedule their energy audit.”

New Buffalo Impact is a nonprofit corporation established in 1998 to assist homeowners, both single and multi-family, to achieve energy savings in their homes. NBI offers a WholeHouse Energy Audit which provides homeowners with a complete assessment of suggested energy related improvements and solutions.
