Energy Efficient Products
In order for a product or appliance to qualify for the ENERGY STARŪ label it has to meet or exceed federal energy-efficiency and quality guidelines without sacrificing performance. These guidelines are determined by the U.S. Department of Energy within the Federal Energy Management Program, and can be seen by clicking here. ENERGY STARŪ qualified appliances incorporate advanced technologies that use 10-50% less energy and water than standard models and can save you money. You not only pay for the appliance itself, but the energy it uses over its lifetime. Why not purchase an appliance hat will save you money every time you use it?
By purchasing ENERGY STAR appliances, you are helping prevent global warming and promote cleaner air without sacrificing the product quality and performance you expect.
Qualified appliances must be combined with at least one major measure installed by NBI such as air sealing, insulation, a heating system, or water heater. Maximum Assisted Subsidy for each appliance varies: $300 for refrigerators and freezers; $200 for clothes washers; $250 for dishwashers; and $75 for dehumidifiers for example.
